<<<< PARCEL INFORMATION >>>>

This application was designed to search, query, and export parcels in Utah County. Please note that the parcels you will be looking at are up-to-date to within minutes of the Recorder's mapping division entering them into the system. The parcels you may extract, however may be up to a week old. This data set is typically updated each week end.
Our parcel data set is temporal. This means that you can draw up what the parcels looked like at any date in history. HOWEVER -- Reliability is not guaranteed for any date prior to August 14, 2000.

The user has many options:

Step 1. Set a parcel effective date, and check the draw options check boxes as desired.
Step 2. Do any of the following:

a.       Press the REDRAW button for a simple map redraw of the same area.

b.       Press the PAN button, then hold your left mouse button down while you drag the map to the new position. When you release the mouse button the map will draw the new extent. Alternatively you may click on the new center point of the map.

c.        Press the ZOOM IN button, then hold your left mouse button down over the map while you drag a box to outline the desired area you would like to see. When you release the mouse button the new map will draw the new extent. Alternatively you may click on the new center point of the map. The map will zoom in on that point to about 40% of the scale.

d.       Press the ZOOM OUT button, then click on the new center point of the map. The map will zoom out on that point to about 180% of the scale.

e.       Press the GET INFO button to add parcels to the list of parcels below the map. After pressing this button, click on the parcel you want to know about with your mouse. This parcel will be highlighted with the others and included in the table with hyperlinks to its data.

f.         Press the CLEAR LIST button to unhighlight all of the highlighted parcels and to remove them from the table below the map.

g.       Enter a parcel number or multiple parcel numbers comma delimited with no spaces. Press the GO button next to this input line to zoom to these desired parcels. These parcels will also be highlighted and placed in the tables below the map with hyperlinks to information about these parcels. Note that the format for parcel numbers is 8 or 9 digits with no spaces. i.e. 12:34:6 becomes 120340006.

h.       If you have highlighted parcels you may wish to find the neighbors of these parcels. If so enter a buffer distance in feet and press the GO button next to this input line. The map will redraw showing the buffer parcels in green. A second table below the map will display the hyperlinks to the data for all parcels in the buffer. Note that the pink parcels will not be in the buffered set. The buffer will disappear the next time you press a button on this form.

i.         Select a city from the drop down menu and press the GO button next to the drop down menu. The map will zoom to the selected city.

j.         Select UTAH COUNTY from the city drop down menu and press the GO button next to the drop down menu. The map will zoom to the entire Utah County extent.

l.         Press the hyperlink below the map to get help.

m.     Press the hyperlink below the map to extract the parcels in the map to a SHAPE FILE. Parcels that are partially on the map will also be extracted. This extract comes from a data set that is created each FRIDAY from our parcel data and is joined with our table of owner names, addresses and other general property information.

n.       If you have created a selection table, press the hyperlinks in this table for information on the highlighted parcels. The first column is the serial of the highlighted parcel. This is followed by the creation and kill date of a parcel. If the kill date of a parcel is 12/31/3000, it is a parcel that is current. The following columns provide links to information about the parent and the child parcels of the selected parcel.
